Young Werther: Lazy Babies

from (PB046) Electric & Eclectic Rarities#1 by Popboomerang

about

"Lazy Babies" is a phrase that describes how i thought of myself and my then girlfriend in that pre-responsibility phase of our love affair. Of course, babies can't be lazy but adults who live like babies for a period of time certainly can. We just ate, drank, soaked up the indolent romance. The melancholy aspect comes about wishing I'd known this person when we were kids. I consoled myself that perhaps we did, in a past life. The opening guitar chord is the saddest and sweetest I know.
