Paul Housden & The Futurists: Textbook

from (free) Popboomerang Records: Making A Big Sound! #2 by Popboomerang

about

"Textbook" is the second song to be leaked from the forthcoming "Paul Houseden & The Futurists" album - set for release in 2012

As frontman of disco-noir sensation Foxx on Fire, Paul Housden has shared stages with the likes of Midnight Juggernauts, Art Vs Science and John Foxx. Now the Melbourne singer/multi-instrumentalist is about to unleash an entirely different sound. Paul Housden & The Futurists, delve into a dizzy half-forgotten world of orchestrated psych-pop, dreamy balladry and imaginary sixties soundtracks.

The promo single She’s The One has already caused a stir, receiving rave reviews and Australian airplay. Now the band prepares to unleash its debut album Dance Of The Drunken Magician recorded at Adelaide’s renowned Broadcast studios and mastered in Berlin by Bo Kondren (Peaches, Whitest Boy Alive). It features an all-star cast including Terepai Richmond on drums, Adrian Whitehead on piano and Whitlams member and the not-too-distant relative Jak Housden on guitar and production.

Having recently relocated to London, Paul Housden & The Futurists are ready to take their soulful melodic pop to the world.
