“The chorus slightly reverses the meaning of boomerang to make it something you keep coming back to, turning every fan of the label into a boomerang, I guess. The line about getting off our knees was just a friendly reminder to all musicians that we all need to pitch in if we want something to happen, especially if 'the world' is asleep again (i.e. Listening to whatever awful pap the majors are throwing at us!). Just before I recorded the vocal you told me that story about breaking open a CD at a tram stop to look at the booklet where a gust of wind blew it out of your hands and into the road to be immediately run over by a tram. You swore me to secrecy about it, so obviously the first thing I did was include it in the lyrics during the fade out!” Bob Kelly
