Melbourne singer songwriter D. Rogers started out playing in bands in the late
nineties/early 00s, playing bass, guitar and keys in widely successful band Klinger.

In 2003 Rogers headed off to Japan and proceeded to record two solo albums, released independently; ‘The 14th Turn’ (released in 2004), and ‘Neath The Dark of Fuses Blown’ (released in 2006). To record his third album ‘Sparks On The Tarmac’(released in 2009), Rogers teamed up with a collection of talented friends and mixer / co-producer Peter Farnan (Boom Crash Opera). It was with this release that he signed to Melbourne indie label Popboomerang. ‘Sparks on The Tarmac’ received accolades from many critics and was supported by a national tour.

For his fourth studio album entitled ‘Natural Disasters’ Rogers delivers a fresh batch of songs that straddle the divide between his lo-fi home recording
roots and the lush hi-fi production of his musical idols. Featuring long time collaborators Emma Heeney (Gorgeous) and Dave Kleynjans (Knieval /
Groundswell), Natural Disasters may be the best D. Rogers album yet.
