  With their second album The Wellingtons have continued on with their mission statement set from their debut; to write direct, hook-filled, upbeat pop songs. Taking cues from power pop greats like Cheap Trick, The Posies, Elvis Costello, and Weezer, the Wellingtons write energetic melodies that bound out of your stereo and put a smile on your face.
  
  The band have just returned from Japan, where they played to rooms full of smiling fans. In 2006 the band also enjoyed slots at the International Pop Overthrow festival in L.A (as part of a U.S tour) and received glowing praise from revered power pop publications and labels.
