about

The songs on this album relate to each other to form a loose narrative. Yes, it's a concept album of sorts. The name of my first band, ‘JFK and the Cuban Crisis’, has been referenced to give this album its title: JFK and the Midlife Crisis. The songs, some autobiographical and some fictional, tell the tale of a middle aged musician looking back at a life lived to an indie music soundtrack. Our narrator remembers with fondness and regret the life of an inner city musician negotiating the twists and turns of love, loss, marriage, divorce, family and friends.
